CLEVELAND, Ohio (WJW) – Former Solon band director Edward Kline was arraigned Wednesday on an 18 count indictment.
Kline, 50, was indicted earlier this month on 17 counts of gross sexual imposition and one count of sexual imposition on charges involving a 12-year-old child.
Wednesday, other alleged victims testified at his arraignment.
The State called three alleged victims.
One said they were testifying on behalf of themselves and three others.
All asked the judge to increase the $50,000 bond set at Kline’s last hearing, which he had posted.
All the alleged victims said they believed Kline was a threat to the community.
The judge said the previous bond set was the “proper amount” and did not raise it.
Kline’s attorney entered a not guilty plea on his behalf and waived a reading of the indictments.
His pretrial is set for October 28 at 11 a.m.
Solon police began their investigation in June of this year.
Kline was arrested in September.
The alleged incidents happened in September 2010.
